PHOTOGRAPHY HIGH FIVE – JANUARY 17, 2020
This week I ended up taking a break from photography in order to build myself a new computer desk. It’s been long over due and much needed, but hopefully I’ll be able to get to some photos this weekend. I’m still working with my photos from Bled, Slovenia and working on different techniques to make the photos pop more, all in an effort to improve my skills. I’ve been feeling at times that I over-edited the photos from Budapest and maybe rushed to post them and I don’t want to do the same with the ones of Lake Bled. In getting to the links, there’s one link below that really made my blood boil, but I’ll let you read the comment I put with it. I’d love to hear anyone’s opinion on it in the comments!
- Instagram announced that they will be hiding Photoshopped photos. There isn’t a single photo taken today that isn’t manipulated in some way by software. Even a camera phone. Although I hate that there are people who see some composite photos and think they are truth, there is just simply no need to block their photos because they got creative with them. Also, not sure how it’s even possible for Instagram to police this..
- A stash of hundreds of Soviet cameras found in a Kazakh warehouse.
- If you like rockets, you’ll like John Kraus’ photos.
- Lensrentals.com posted a Lens Teardown of the Nikon Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S.
- PhotoPills posted their Astronomical Events 2020 guide
