PHOTOGRAPHY HIGH FIVE – DECEMBER 6, 2019

Iceland was fantastic last weekend as was our one hour run through the Christmas Market in Frankfurt, Germany on Sunday night. We’ll be back to Frankfurt in 18 days en-route to Budapest! I’ve been working to create a better backup system for my photos at home so I haven’t had the chance to edit many photos from Iceland, but there are plenty to come! As usual, here are five links I found interesting this week:

  • I haven’t had a chance to really look into this system, but it seems like an interesting one for star tracking and even better for time-lapse. I think it definitely may be an option for those traveling and trying to reduce the weight of their camera gear and are willing to sacrifice a little bit in the functionality.
  • For those taking pictures of planes, this was rather sad news that another opportunity for 747 photos in the US disappeared this week when Qantas made it’s last US appearance with the Queen.
  • I came across another great photographer named Ryan Smith this week on Instagram.
  • Peter Zelinka has his Ultimate Astrophotography Bundle of courses for sale through the end of tonight.
  • Awesome video I found on reddit about conserving an old photo.
